About Camp Brethren Heights

Camp Brethren Heights, a ministry of the Michigan District Church of the Brethren, is funded through camping fees, congregational allocated funds and the generous gifts of individuals. Camp Brethren Heights is located near Rodney, Michigan, east of Big Rapids and west of Mount Pleasant. Overlooking Jehnsen Lake, Camp Brethren Heights is a rustic camping facility, a cozy retreat center and a perfect site for natural resource education.

Camp Brethren Heights is availble to rent! It is a perfect location for retreats, camps, nature education, reunions, or a quiet getaway. For information on pricing, use the menu on the left.

In the warmer months of the year, there are 6 rustic cabins, each sleeping 12, available. Year round our lodge is available with men's and women's dorms each sleeping 22. To see photographs of our campgrounds, use the menu to the left.

Camp Brethren Heights Philosophy

The primary goal of Camp Brethren Heights is to promote a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We provide a natural setting where campers can explore God's plan. Campers are encouraged to use the Bible in their own personal devotions. Brethren heritage is taught, especially as it relates to its New Testament source. Campers are encouraged to be more aware of the natural world in which they live and the camp tries to enable them to restore an ecological balance in their own communities. Camp Brethren Heights provides a very unique opportunity for Christian Education which is not available in most Church settings.
